The first edits made me think of a polygraph, closer examiniation revealed seismic waves which resembled a spiny torture device rather than a smooth set of undulating peaks and troughs. Although consistent as you would have it, a more emblematic design is apparent full of finely interlaced masonry links mystically embellished to create an endless stream of fascination.

Sir Charles Barry's Perpendicular Gothic master piece was rightfully called "a dream in stone" by Tsar Nicholas I of Russia. The ornate compositions incorporated in the design of this building are literally breathe taking.

Its name is derived from the neighbouring Westminster Abbey but most often refers to the Old Palace, a medieval building-complex largely destroyed by fire in 1834, or its replacement, the New Palace that stands today. The palace is owned by the monarch in right of the Crown and for ceremonial purposes retains its original status as a royal residence.
