For a musician to be widely regarded the greatest guitarist of all time, it's strange to consider that All Along the Watchtower from the Electric Ladyland album was his only number one album. Guitar World selected Jimi’s playing of the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock as number one on its list of his 100 greatest performances.

Here's a fun fact not sure how true it is - Jimi was once refused service in a pub in Liverpool because the bartender thought he was a clown. The circus was in town and the bar had the rule, No Clowns Allowed. Clearly the bartender wasn't a fan of his striking Carnaby Street attire.
