Anyone who has had the opportunity to visit London and view this wonder will easily agree it's one of the most awe inspiring structures you will ever see. Its strategic location dominates the skyline as it comes into view down Fleet Street and up into Ludgate Hill. I found the best time to take in this splendour was on a clear crisp winters morning. Yes I did say clear, they do happen in London and they do produce the most amazing blue skies. This image was captured on such a day.
The locals of the time must have literally have succumb in bewilderment as this colossus rose out of the ruins. The Dome at 365 feet made it the tallest building in London for 250 years.
