Elvis Regression SS (Skate Skin) was inspired after watching a clip of this incredible man perform in the late 70's. It was sad to say the least, plump and sweaty, giving it his all in an overexerted parody of his former self. It was understandable to some extent, the most famous man in the world was Caught in a Trap.

This made me think, what would the older Elvis say to his youthful self?
Elvis Regression represents a conversation we all have with ourselves at one stage or another, something along the lines of "what should or could I have done better?"

An alien tear appears almost as if he can't believe what has happened to himself, with all the potential in the world, he was not a free man.

This image has come out nicely, a great colour fantasy with modern textures and patterns. The original Elvis Regression acrylic on canvas was sold in 2004, it's still working its magic as I'm sure this version will too.
